James Badger’s Personal Site
Unexpected

About two weeks ago I noticed that my static pages were gone, where I had listed various content that were not blog posts. Well, that’s odd, I thought, and strangely found them filed under posts by Wordpress. I am not sure when it happened, but I think I know the culprit.
I updated Wordpress in the summer, and again in late October to 2.6.3. Additionally, I switched hosting providers in mid-October (mostly painless by using CPanel). I am leaning towards the update being the source, as I do not see why a database copy would change the organization of a blog. After a half-hour running through all the ‘pages’, I cut many of them out as they were redundant, and properly categorized the posts. I feel much better having done that.
Speaking of getting things done, I recently jumped in and registered at 43Things. It is interesting to track your goals with others on the same path, writing about your progress along the way. Try it!
